to write that word, End

* * *
In to write that word, End, a performer reads the last prose-poem of Danielle Collobert's collection Murder while he is randomly, but frequently interrupted by Forough Farrokhzad's truncated voice pronouncing the recurrent motif of her poem تولدی دیگر (Another Birth) : زندگی شاید (life, maybe).
The impossibility of ending undercut by that of beginning.
Murder's constant rebirth.
And always, fatigue.
*Performed at The Poetry Project, curated by Ethan Philbrick.
