to write that word, End

Performance

* * *
In to write that word, End, a performer reads the last prose-poem from Danielle Collobert's collection Murder while he is randomly, but frequently interrupted by Forough Farrokhzad's truncated voice pronouncing the recurrent motif of her poem تولدی دیگر (Another Birth) : زندگی شاید (life, maybe...).
The impossibility of ending undercut by that of beginning.
Murder's constant rebirth.
And always, fatigue.
Performed at The Poetry Project, curated by Ethan Philbrick.
Audio recording of to write that word, End at FIELDNOTES Live (FN/S031 at 7:00)
